The invention of printing in 1476 A.D by William Caxtox the speed of news spreading has been increasing. in the next centuries this process become more famous in the newspaper houses. The daily newspapers in the pakistan are mostly in Urdu language. The people of different regions read newspapers in their on language.
Electronic Media
Electronic media has gained popularity in pakistan. Most of the people in urban and rural areas have placed radio ,T.V and cable. A large number of channels are established in pakistan. it is the big thing for the people that they gain information from this. express, ARY, Geo are the great channels in pakistan which are working properly still today. They are very famous.
Social Effects Of Press and Newspapers
i. Transmission of knowledge:
The books preserve knowledge which is transmitted from generation to generation. This communication of knowledge gets change and become up to date and preserve itself for all time to come. No scientific finding can attain the position of a fact and knowledge without consensus of its expert.

The books and the magazines shape trails of personality in the individual according to their subject matter.

Radio And Television
Radio and TV are the fundamental wellsprings of mass correspondence. They transmit ideas, attitudes, customs, conventions, and the values from culture to society.
There are twelve radio station in pakistan at the places of Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Multan And Bahawalpur. Millions of radio stations or radio sets are being used in pakistan.
The pakistan television corporation has five production centers and 15 boosters. The production at the Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.
Radio and T.V are the best source for giving information and all other news.
Social Effects of Radio and T.V
The area covered by television is about 40% of the total. The 72.16% of population is receiving facilities of television today.

These are the major source of information Radio by hearing and television by hearing aided by vision. Television is the more effective media for the people.
they give information about the political life and what happened around us.
ii. Commercial Programs:
Both Radio and television provide facilities of advertisement to the industrial products. it helps to check the qualities of goods in the industries.

Some education programs are broadcast from the radio and television by the systemic way. It help in all the education system. In them programs Islamic teaching and thoughts are very popular and useful for the people.
iv. Recreation:
Radio and television are the most effective source of recreation. Drama is the most popular program in the Radio and television. songs and music is also the enjoy full part of the radio and T.V.
v. Socio Cultural change:
Generally a change in social and cultural life of people has been observed after listening and observing radio and television. The ideas find and change after attending the radio and T,V program. They increase the rate of sale of products, increase the speed of learnt, and provide latest news and information immediately to control for the future. Style of dress, type of talking and various methods of professional technologies are learnt through the program of these media thus creating. socio-culture change in society.
